There are real live people standing behind everything we manage to achieve. For every rescued, every healed, every rehomed little pet, there are kind-hearted people who have given their best to succeed.
Our cause has many supporters. Many opponents as well. We thank you for being here. Because nothing would work if it was not for each of us coming to a point where we realise: I want to help and I will. Here. Today. Me.
The Bulgarian reality will be as we make it. We have created Animal Rescue Sofia to work on the humane and profesional solution to the stray dog population in the country.

Homeless not Hopeless
The start is a story about a few friends whom, without any experience or financial backing, decided to make an organization for the protection of animals.

the running of a well-managed shelter for homeless dogs;

coordination and help for the municipal authorities in charge of homeless animals;

raising awareness and educating the public on responsible dog ownership and stray dogs;

maintaining widely spread neutering campaigns for stray and owned animals;

re-homing as many animals possible – both in Bulgaria and other EU countries;

What do we need most?
What do we need most? Well… we need you! We need your support. We are just a small group of people – we are not financed by the state, the EU, or by a foreign NGO – we only manage by the funds you decide to donate for the animals.
Most of all – we need money.
With money we can cover the medical cost, food and all needs for the animals.
